*PROPER APPLICATION IS ESSENTIAL*
used to remove the mouthguard - careful not to interfere with chin straps/snaps.
(Some newer helmet designs may allow for other possible placement positions)
APPLYING GUARDGRIP IS EASY - 4 quick steps in under 60 sec:
1. CLEAN HELMET SURFACE AREA THOROUGHLY with alcohol wipe. (Provided)
2. DRY HELMET SURFACE COMPLETELY with a clean cotton cloth. (Provided)
3. REMOVE ADHESIVE LINER from round base using the liner's tab.
4. (a) PRESS DOWN USING FIRM PRESSURE WITH THE HEEL OF THE HAND over
the entire GUARDGRIP for about 5-7 seconds. (See Video below)
(b) PULL WINGS UP AND APPLY FIRM PRESSURE WITH THUMBS around entire top
of the base several times - making sure to push out any air pockets. (See Video below)
* FIRM PRESSURE MUST BE USED to ACTIVATE 3M ADHESIVE
and create a strong secure bond* to the helmet surface.
*HELMET SURFACE can also be cleaned using an alcohol spray bottle
and clean cotton cloth. (Provided with Team orders of 25 or more parts)
REMOVING GUARDGRIP IS EASY - Just pull and peel:
make sure to grip under both the BASE and ADHESIVE. Slowly peel up and
away from helmet surface until the GUARDGRIP is completely removed.
GUARDGRIP can also be used inside an athlete's locker:
NOTE: Any sport that does not use a helmet, but encourages or mandates mouthguard use, should use GUARDGRIP in the athletes' lockers to help promote mouthguard use and reduce loss - which reduces costs for athletic programs and players.
GUARDGRIP can be cleaned while on a helmet with a wet cloth or antibacterial wipe - which will help restore the "tacky" designed surface of the wings that help hold a mouthguard in place.
RE-USE NOTICE: GUARDGRIP IS NOT REUSABLE OR REPOSITIONABLE
On initial application be careful to place the GUARDGRIP exactly where you want it on the helmet. Once a GUARDGRIP has as been applied to a helmet surface - and then removed - the adhesion properties become compromised and will no longer perform effectively to secure it to the helmet.
REPLACEMENT NOTICE:
Replacement is recommended after every season. Between replacement the GUARDGRIP can be cleaned with a wet cloth or antibacterial wipe or GUARDFRESH. Cleaning helps restore the "tackiness" of the wings to maintain maximum gripping action.
